..the carp get eaten.

the humans that hand reared him. It's obvious they created a cruel, sadistic bear that should be put down for daring to play with the fish instead of eating it like a naturally raised predator would.

$20 says the guy who expressed outrage at the "murder" of those poor fish has eaten fish in the last month.

As if this isn't exactly what a polar bear would do in the wild when it's young, learning how to fish. If they're so worried about the "senseless killing of the fish", just don't feed the bear for a week, see if his wasteful attitude doesn't change.

It's always hilarious to me when people get angry with animals for human traits we project onto them.

Maybe the bear would have eaten them if they'd provided some lemon grass, perhaps some sliced ginger, just like in the wild.

That was kind of the point. The variations on twat answers are either:
a) The poles thing (although a lot of penguins live places like south america, the galapagos)
b) "Because they can't get the wrappers off". This is supposed to be amusing because Penguin was/is the name of an individually wrapper chocolate biscuit thing sold in the UK.

To turn round and say, "Actually, they do" and show them video of a polar bear eating a penguin would be more amusing.

Or, if it turns out that there is some undiscovered reason why they don't then the footage should reveal it.

Because bears should just be big, cuddly, soft, warm, fuzzies and we should be able to put our children in with them and expect them to do nothing more than hug them and kiss them.

PETA is the weirdest cult of all time. At least with the crazy cults I can understand the motivation on some level. There's some reason some guy goes nuts and says, "I should be able to seXX0rz every woman in the compound." I don't understand how someone reaches the conclusion that all animals are perfect creatures that are only held back by man's inability to accept their perfection.
